The morning of Cassie & Ben's Wedding was a beautiful one. I spent the early morning driving down south along the coast line with my second shooter. The morning sun was hidden behind the gloomy cloud cover. I had hopes that eventually the sun would make an appearance. We began our afternoon with a some getting ready photos, a few drinks to calm the nerves and a little hightened stress. After some calming moments and some grounding we were ready to go. Cassie did the sweetest first look with her maids and it made all the diffrence. Suprises were had, and a few tears were shed but they held it together beautifully. We then made our way over to Cape Perpetua for their first look. Once done, my second shooter and I headed down to the ceremony space where the bridal party, family and friends were gathering together. Cassie & Ben's ceremony began around 4pm and was filled with such passion, love and emotion.
Both Cassie and Ben were surrounded by friends and families who travled near and far to take part in their memorable day; and boy was a beautiful one!!!!! I even found myself crying more than once.

Where and when should I have my ceremony?
As the summer sun tends to fade fast towards the end of the year, I encourage my summer wedding brides to wrap up before the beginning of September. As we progress into the fall the unsurity of rain becomes more aparent. Living in the PNW us Oregonians are used to at least 8 months of rain.
If asked--My personal opinion for the best time to have your ceremony would be somewhere between 4-5pm. As the sun sets in the west it leaves a wonderful hue in the evening sky. As you share in your first moments as husband and wife, or life partners your surroundings will compliment everything about your day! Whether your wedding is indoors or outdoors it will one to remember. Over the few summer months I've found myself all over the Oregon Coast and up and down the Washington Coast/Columbia Gorge. The outdoors seem to be the best summer choice. The variety of options and the beauty of nature can really draw you in.
Let me help you in planning your special day and we will make it the best day together!
What Season is Right for me?
SPRING | SUMMER | FALL | WINTER |
Depending on what your wedding day vision is there may be a few options for you with when may be best to tie the knot. Here in the PNW at least 8 months out of the year consist of rain which leaves getting married outside a little difficult. Between late fall and early spring it would be wise to exspect rain. From light sprinkles to terential down pours we Oregonians adabpt to all the varietys of weather that are thrown at us. If were in for a good summer it will begin to clear as early as mid May to early June. My favorite time of year to suggest getting married is anywhere between mid June to late September. Between those months, you can almost guarantee there will be some type of sun. Also make sure to ask about golden hour photos. Theres most definitly magic to be made.
